I am back to the blog after three months and lot of interesting events took place in between specially Pak – American relationship, ISI – CIA cold war and politics of Mr. AAZ, one can write books on every part mentioned and I chose to express my views on the politics of AAZ.

So coming straight to the topic of my blog “Good to Great” and Pakistani politics, I am really impressed how Mr. Asif Ali Zardari President of Pakistan made-up his ground and how everything turned in his favor, at least for time being, when everyone was saying that immediately after the budget 2011 – 2012, there might be a change in the government and new technocrat setup may come in force backed by the establishment. Thanks to Ch. Nisar’s fiery speeches in the parliament criticizing ISI’s role in politics, which compelled the invisible hands to put their weight behind the existing setup. Why Ch. Nisar did this, we will discuss this later sometime, but one thing he will make sure is that he puts PML (N) in the back burner of Pakistani politics and future events will confirm my argument.

AAZ’s recent move to share power with PML (Q) is a brilliant initiative, as this will not only give the existing setup a new life but will also strengthen the democracy in the country. The setup will not only complete its term but will alsobe in a very strong passion to win next elections after two years. PPP will further strengthen itself after the senate elections of 2012.  On the grand chess board, AAZ checkmate all his opponents and walk away in a win win situation.

I have personally started admiring his skills that how brilliantly and boldly, the political chess played by him. He not only rose from the position of nowhere to the position of great control of things but every passing day seems to be working for him. His past portrays that he can get himself out of any crises and his future will get him the second term as president with his son being the youngest prime minister. Well, in politics nothing is final till it actually happens but if the situation remains the same and something seriously worst does not occurs; I think AAZ will get what he wants. How? Is the interesting question, I can indicate few one liners and will discuss in later posts one by one.

  1. Challenging PML (N) in Punjab and forming government lead by PML (Q) /PPP and give really bumpy ride to PML (N) in times to come.
  2. Putting establishments weight behind them until they (establishment) find better and suitable player.
  3. Good governance and improved economy will be seen.

And all this will not only lead AAZ from “good to great” position but will also lead Pakistan from “worst to better” position in the comity of nations.
